Global Strategic Sourcing (GSS) is one of the core strategic organizations within Whirlpool Corporation responsible for leading and driving the purchasing and buying strategy for all products and services, which include:

Direct Materials

Any materials that go into the creation of our products. These include raw materials (steel, chemical, resins), components (heat, glass, pumps, motors, cooling, gas systems, electronics, electromechanical, wiring), service parts, structures and aesthetics (packaging, literature, screws, injection molding, and many more!)

Indirect Goods and Services

All goods and services that are required to maintain and develop our operations. These purchases are not directly involved in the final product but support the ongoing business. This includes marketing agencies, logistics, IT applications, MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Operations), Facilities, Catering, Human Resource services and many more!

Finished Products

Products that are not manufactured in Whirlpool plants, but rather bought from other companies and sold under Whirlpool Corporation brands.
