The Global Supplier Quality & Development organization (GSQ&D) drives supplier activity to achieve Whirlpool’s quality vision – to deliver the best consumer experience in every appliance, every time and everywhere.
This team is responsible for making sure that the parts and products we use meet our quality standards when we introduce new products. They work on improving quality within our supply base, using tools and processes that have a proven track record of success. In addition, they collaborate closely with the commodity management teams to ensure we’re buying from suppliers who meet our quality standards with a focus on efficiency, innovation and quality improvement using methods like Operational Excellence (OpEx) and Lean principles.

Global Supplier Quality Manual
Whirlpool utilizes a Supplier Quality Manual that details the expectations, requirements, guidelines, and practices expected of all Whirlpool suppliers.
